SYNOPSIS

A massive family association gathers hundreds of people from across the country to celebrate their common ancestor: An Amishman named Jacob Hochstetler. Living on the frontier of the French and Indian War, this family’s faith is tested as they are attacked, kidnapped, and adopted into a new way of living that would change the family forever.

Eric Miller

Growing up in Cleveland, OH, Eric Miller was born and raised in the Mennonite Church, and now lives in South Bend, IN, where he works in video marketing. Miller has always wanted to adapt this story to a screen format. Miller found his love for documentaries while editing the Emmy-nominated historical documentary, ‘Vital Passage.’ After receiving his B.A in Film Production from Goshen College in 2022, Miller sought out to finally adapt this story as a documentary.

Cristina Jantz

Cristina Jantz was also born and raised in the Mennonite Church. Her love of writing, reading, and acting started when she was very young. Jantz received her bachelor’s degree in Writing and Theatre from Goshen College. After residing in Durango, Colorado for 17 years, she now lives in Goshen, IN.
